Children's Services

Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre, Inc. Children's Services aims to provide quality care, with consideration of the needs of children, families and the community, actively supporting growth and development.

We employ professionally trained, experienced staff dedicated to sharing experiences and learning opportunities with your children.

Our programs are gender and ability inclusive as well as developmentally and culturally appropriate. We approach children through encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Merinda Park Learning & Community Centre, Inc offers the following Children's Services:

Before & After School Care

For primary school children, breakfast is provided before 8:00AM. Afternoon snacks are provided. Children are taken door to door, to and from local schools in the Community Centre bus.

Time:	6:30AM - 9:00AM
Cost:	$12.00 (before CCB reduction)

After School Care
Days:	Monday - Friday
Time:	3:15PM - 6:00PM (includes snack)
Cost:	$12.50 (before CCB reduction)

Vacation Care and Curriculum Days

Christmas Holidays Vacation Care will commence on 14 January, 2013 and continue until the children return to school.

First term break Vacation Care will commence on Tuesday, 2 April 2013 until Friday, 12 April 2013.

Bookings are essential for these sessions due to limited spaces and are taken generally two weeks before the holiday period.

Occasional Care

Bookings are essential for all sessions.

For under school age children 0 - 5 years - casual and regular bookings are available.

5 hour sessions
Days:	Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Time:	9:30AM - 2:30PM
Cost, 1 child:	$23.00 $21.00 concession
Cost, 2 children:	$31.00 $29.00 concession
Cost, 3 or more children:	$36.00 $34.00 concession

Payment of fees is due on the day of the session and an absent fee applies if your child is away.

Community Playgroup

Commences Wednesday, 6 February 2013.

Playgroup in 2013 will look new and different. We will have an Activities Leader who will focus on age appropriate activities, sing song time, story time & outdoor play - focusing on physical activity, nature and environment. At every session our new Counsellor will be attending to support families with information, strategies and referrals

Two sessions are available on a Wednesday during school term:

Little Possum Playgroup
Time:	9:15AM - 11:15AM please bring a morning snack
Cost, 1 child:	$3.00 (per session)
Cost, 2 or more children:	$4.00 (per session)

OR

Baby Bears Playgroup
Time:	11:45AM - 1:45PM please bring lunch
Cost, 1 child:	$3.00 (per session)
Cost, 2 or more children:	$4.00 (per session)

Bookings

Due to staff ratios and limited places available in our Children's Services Programs, we need to ensure programs are booked and attended to their fullest capacity.

Bookings must be made for all programs.

Permanent bookings will be given preference over casual bookings. A fee applies for holding a booking.
